Rowan University is a comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 16,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. Rowan is one of two universities in the country to offer M.D. and D.O. medical-degree programs. The School of Osteopathic Medicine has a faculty practice plan that serves approximately 200,000 patients throughout Southern New Jersey. Applications are invited for a position in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship. The position is a part-time position that does not include health benefits. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate management courses including the introductory course for freshmen and the capstone course for seniors. Ability to teach International Business is not required but preferred. Normal teaching load is nine credit hours per semester. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute in meaningful ways to service responsibilities in the Department, at the level appropriate for part-time faculty.
The Department offers three majors (Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, and Management) and two minors (Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Management), and is also responsible for several of the undergraduate and graduate courses that are required for all business majors.
Minimum qualifications are a relevant Master?s degree and recent relevant professional experience. A recently completed relevant doctoral degree, or ABD, with appropriate research is preferred. Recent teaching experience is highly desirable. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
