The Member Services & Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding membership while providing assistance to, and working with, the Chapter Chief Executive Officer in managing the Los Angeles/Ventura Chapter office. Specific Duties and Areas of Responsibility include, but are not limited to: Member Recruiting and Retention, Membership Services and Chapter Operations.
Member Recruiting and Retention•Performs both inside/outside sales efforts for the purpose of securing new members from all companies that may benefit from BIA membership.•Educates members on the value of membership for the purpose of delivering the actual value of membership and impressing that value upon our members continuously which ultimately influences their decision to renew or drop their membership.Member Services: Membership•Prepares, implements and evaluates an annual strategic plan for marketing the BIASC membership program•Research, refine and continue to expand potential member database.•Prospect for potential new members and turn into increased membership.•Provide full staff support to the Membership Committee.•Develop and implement methods to increase member participation.•Maintain membership database, email distribution lists and prepare membership reports as needed•Contact and provide orientation to new members.•Develop and implement membership retention strategies to meet chapter goals.•Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and providefeedback and information on market and creative trends.•Recruits and manages membership volunteers and interns.•Identify opportunities for campaigns, services and value adds that will lead to an increase in membership.Operations: Board of Directors•Prepare Agendas for Executive Committee and BOD meetings.•Send out meeting notices for both EC and Board meetings.•Prepare annual Board orientation documents and presentation.•Update BOD contact information.•Track BOD recruitment of new members for annual membership drive.•Track BOD involvement in committees.•Assist with registration at all events.•Process payments on-site for walk-up attendees.Accounts Payable•Process invoices for approval and submittal to PO for processing twice a month.•Receive bi-monthly checks and coordinate getting signatures.•Process monthly credit card bill for submittal to POOffice Management•Handle day-to-day operations and maintenance issues with the office, office equipment, server room and phone system.•Handle renewal contracts for office equipment.•Research and implement cost savings on office equipment leases.•Provide support to the Chapter Chief Executive Officer as needed•Handle equipment replacement when needed, including computers.•Maintain website and administrative tasks as assigned by CEO.
