The Department of Management is searching for a tenure track Assistant or Associate professor of Management to start in August, 2017. California State University, Chico is seeking faculty who are competent in their field, collaborative with colleagues and staff, and committed to student success. Position is contingent on funding.
Minimum Education and Experience:
The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a Ph.D. in Strategic Management, Business Strategy, or related areas such as International Management, Sustainability, System Dynamics or Project Management. Candidates nearing completion of the doctorate may be considered; however, the doctorate must be complete prior to the beginning of the academic year August, 2017. Demonstrated experience teaching strategic management courses is required. Evidence of publication in management-related refereed journals, or potential thereof, is required.
Additional Requirements and Responsibilities for this position:
This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching, scholarship and service. Faculty members typically teach three sections per semester, fulfill service obligations, and publish in refereed, professional journals in one of the areas listed above. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
Preference will be given to candidates with a doctorate from an AACSB international-accredited program with a strong teaching interest in business strategy and one of the related areas of International Management, Sustainability, Project Management or System Dynamics. Evidence of superior teaching is highly desirable. Industry experience is highly valued.
