Established in 2011, UC San Diego Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center is the county's first dedicated cardiovascular center. The state-of-the-art facility unites leaders in cardiovascular medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, pulmonary vascular medicine, vascular surgery, cardiovascular imaging and cardiovascular research to battle heart disease and stroke.
The SCVC ICU Nurse will provide direct care to critical care patients using the nursing process in the inpatient setting. Develops and provides treatment plans as requested. Promotes self-care through education. Organizes and maintains clinic equipment and supplies. The type of patients on this floor include Heart and Lung Transplants, PTE Patients, CABG's, Valve's, and Ventricular Assist Devices included Total Artificial Hearts, Stroke and Vascular Surgical patients will be on this floor. These units utilize advanced training and skills to take care of high acuity complex patients. 24 hour physician coverage on this unit.

Must have an active California RN license.
BART or BLS/CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within 6 months of hire date.
ART or ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get ART within 6 months of hire date.
Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care ICU RN experience.
Must be able to work 4 shifts per month.
Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
