| Rowan University is a comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 16,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. Rowan is one of two universities in the country to offer M.D. and D.O. medical-degree programs. The School of Osteopathic Medicine has a faculty practice plan that serves approximately 200,000 patients throughout Southern New Jersey. The College of Engineering has undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Computer, and Mechanical Engineering. Biomedical Engineering is our newest department and is in a period of substantial growth.
Major metropolitan areas within the Northeast Corridor are within easy reach of Glassboro. Philadelphia is a thirty minute drive, New York City and Washington, D.C. are less than three hours away, and Jersey beaches are only an hour drive.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rowan University invites applicants for a full-time, non-tenure-track position as a Full-Time Temporary Instructor. We seek outstanding candidates who have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, or a closely related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to teach undergraduate/graduate core courses and electives in the Department of Biomedical Engineering with emphasis in electrical systems and phenomena involving such courses as Electrical Foundations of Biomedical Engineering, Bioinstrumentation, and Diagnostics/Imaging. Successful candidates are expected to have demonstrated excellence in teaching and excellent written and oral communication skills.
