Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine invites applications and nominations for the position of Chief, Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. The Division, within the Department of Medicine, has a robust portfolio of health services and policy research. The successful candidate will expand this portfolio while interacting with existing schools, departments and centers with activities in the public health and healthcare domains. The successful candidate will have a key leadership role in the Northwestern Medicine Healthcare System’s primary care strategy. Reporting to Northwestern Medicine leadership, the chief will oversee the Division’s academic, research, and administrative affairs. The Feinberg School of Medicine is ranked 19th in U.S. News & World Report and has $390 million of annual research funding. The Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is located in downtown Chicago close to the “Magnificent Mile”. The medical school is part of the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University that includes three U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll hospitals; Northwestern Memorial Hospital is ranked 10th nationally, Lurie Children’s Hospital 8th, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago 1st. Successful candidates will possess an MD, be board-certified in Internal Medicine, be eligible for a faculty appointment as a full-time Professor (tenure track), and have a record of scholarly accomplishments and national recognition in health services/clinical epidemiology research.
