Assistant Clinical Professor - Emergency Medicine Clinician
The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) (http://healthsciences.ucsd.edu/som/emergency-med) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians.
The Department of Emergency Medicine has grown from three full time faculty to 30 faculty and over 60,000 visits per year. Our Hillcrest ED is a level 1 trauma center and the only designated comprehensive emergency department in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
The Clinicians will provide direct patient care in the Hillcrest, La Jolla and El Centro Emergency Departments, and La Jolla Urgent Care. Candidates will supervise Emergency Medicine and rotating housestaff and medical students while on duty.
Candidates must have an MD and be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California Medical License. Candidates are required to show a demonstrated commitment to diversity and equity.
Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor rank in the Clinical Series. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
