Provides skilled nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Both Thornton and Hillcrest perform surgical services in Neurology, Orthopedics, Urology, Plastics, general, Oncology, Head and Neck, Vascular and Open Heart, Gynecology. Additional services at Hillcrest include Trauma and Burn surgeries. Identifies and implements nursing interventions and evaluates results for a wide variety of patient populations. Directs and acts as resource to other members of the nursing team as assigned. Promotes compliance and support for policies.
Must possess at least one (1) year of recent PACU or ICU RN experience.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have CA RN license, ACLS and BLS.
Must be able to work within a team environment.
Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
May float to Hillcrest, Thornton and Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center as needed.
