The University of Pittsburgh Cardiothoracic Surgery department is seeking a Research Specialist.
The Research Specialist is responsible for data abstraction, enrollment of patients into various research studies, and IRB submissions. This includes an independent detailed review of patient medical records, collection of specific variables, and resolution of data queries. Responsibilities also include screening and consent of patients in physician clinics, tracking of patients, preparing documents for review by the IRB and other review committees, and assisting with various research projects. The Research Specialist may also be responsible for administering questionnaires to patients in the clinic or over the telephone.
Bachelor's Degree in a health sciences field is required plus 2-3 years of professional level experience in a research or related clinical field.
Hiring Range: $23,868.00 - $37,752.00
