To provide collaborative and business management direction and oversight in all fiscal matters pertaining to budgetary control, accounting policies and procedures, forecasting and billing and special projects for the operation of the Office of Public School Academies/Urban Partnerships directly as well as each of its K-12 schools. Included in this role is the analysis of data, assisting with contract compliance matters, conducting periodic financial site audits, provide technical support to educational service providers and PSA Board of Directors, and to confer with MDE oversight staff about financial accountability standards and reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentration in accounting. A minimum of 3 years accounting experience, budget preparation and control, analysis. Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to K-12 educational funding. Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational policies and procedures. Proficiency with accounting systems and PC and computer-based applications. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
