The qualified candidate will have extensive healthcare insurance experience focused on managed care contracting strategies and principles. The qualified candidate will leverage their healthcare insurance experience by providing analytical support for the Managed Care department that involves synthesizing data from multiple sources into clear, meaningful negotiation and decision making tools. Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing a local managed care utilization database, producing contract performance reports, modeling reimbursement rates, evaluating and quantifying financial contract modifications and compiling and monitoring key managed care statistics. This candidate will work closely with the Chief Contracting Officer and his team to develop Managed Care contracting strategies and tactics through in depth analytical support as well as participate in internal and external strategy and negotiations meetings.
-Bachelor's Degree required. Master's in Business Administrative or MPH related field preferred.
-A minimum of 8 years of healthcare insurance and analytical experience
-Healthcare reimbursement methodologies
-Proficient in healthcare industry trends
-Proficient in database management
-Ability to interpret contract intent and use that knowledge to confirm accuracy of payor contract performance.
-Strong analytical and communication skills.
-Ability to work within a team environment, securing buy-in and agreement through collaborative efforts.
-Good presentation, leadership and team-building skills.
-Use of independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of contract issues.
-Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word
-A Fire and Safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 30 days of hire and maintained by renewing before expiration date.
