Essential Functions: We are seeking applicants for a junior Ob/Gyn faculty appointment, including candidates at the assistant professor, senior fellow, or senior resident levels, who wish to pursue careers as physician scientists. Scholars will engage in research for 75% of their academically defined time for a period of 2-5 years, with funding provided for salary support, research, coursework and travel. WSU has outstanding mentors in reproductive biology, reproductive and perinatal medicine, and related fields with abundant research resources available to WRHR Scholars. We have particular strength in high dimensional, extending to translational science.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have an MD degree, have completed an Ob/Gyn Residency, and can be appointed in the final research year of clinical fellowship training. Candidates cannot have previously served as a PI or Co-PI on an R01, R29, K-series, or other large NIH award. However, candidates who have served as a PI of an R03 or R21 award are eligible. Faculty rank commensurate with credentials.
