Emergency Department Faculty Position (Full-Time)
The University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine is seeking a board-certified / board-eligible general pediatrician for a full-time faculty position in our Emergency Department (ED) starting immediately at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles [CHLA] campus in Pediatric Urgent Care, in the Division of Emergency Medicine. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A STRONG RESEARCH AND ACADEMIC INTEREST.
The ED sees a large volume of patients suffering from rare to common diseases and a vast spectrum of traumatic injuries. The attending staff is a young, energetic group of physicians dedicated to the teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, including 9 rotating programs, and PEM fellows.
CHLA has a 370-bed tertiary state of the art acute care and referral center. The ED is a designated Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, and PCCC, in conjunction with a PEDS Urgent Care Clinic, and sees approximately 70,000 patients annually. The Emergency Transport Program arranges for and transports 3,000 patients, including 1,500 team transports, annually. CHLA is one of the nation's top ranked children's hospitals, centrally located in sunny southern California, with close access to wonderful neighborhoods, outstanding restaurants, and a multitude of cultural and recreational activities.
