Position Summary: PPPL/Theory Department has an opening at the rank of Research Physicist in theoretical plasma physics. Research areas of interest include macroscopic equilibrium and stability, energetic particles, turbulence and transport, and waves in fusion plasmas. The Department is looking to recruit an exceptionally strong theorist with leadership potential.
Essential Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a Ph. D. in theoretical and/or computational plasma physics or a closely related discipline and five years of experience beyond PhD. Desirable qualifications include a strong theoretical background in plasma physics, experience in the development and use of computer simulation codes, and ability to collaborate with experimentalists.
