This position is under the overall supervision of the Department Chair and Vice Chair of Anatomic Pathology. The appointee shall provide services, as assigned by the supervisor, in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service
This position reports to: Douglas Weeks Chair, Department of Pathology.
This position will be assigned to the Anatomic Pathology Division, with principal responsibilities in Neuropathology, with occasional duties in Autopsy. The responsibilities include serving as the Medical Director of the Neuromuscular Lab, the clinical service and teaching functions of neuropathology, as well as sharing evening and weekend call with the neuropathology staff on an equal basis. Service and other assignments will be reviewed and modified by the department Chair, as needed.
Educational responsibilities include participation in the instructional program for medical and graduate students, residents and fellows of the Department as assigned by the Chair.
Service responsibilities include participation in committees and councils of OHSU; outreach and public service programs and professional societies with the knowledge and consent of the Chair.
Research responsibilities are to participate in clinical and basic research programs at OHSU as opportunities provide, and to work toward funding these studies through grants and contracts.
The effort for this position at present is divided: 15% teaching; 70% clinical service; 15% research.
