Associate or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X, In-Residence) Burn Director/Trauma-Burn Division
The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, Burns and Acute Care Surgery (http://trauma.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. The department is seeking a Burn Surgeon/Burn Center Director with special interests and expertise in Burn/Surgical Critical Care. This is a full-time faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor level.
Applicants must possess documented teaching and research experience in an area relevant to Burn/Surgical Critical Care. This is an academic appointment, which requires documented excellence in clinical activities, research and teaching.
Qualified candidates should meet the following criteria:
1) Board Certification in General Surgery 2) Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgical Critical Care 3) Documented track record in extramural research funding and high quality scientific publications highly desirable 4) Must have or be able to obtain a California medical license
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales. Review of applications will begin on May 27, 2016 and continue until the position is filled.
