Summary Description: Columbia University College of Dental Medicine (CDM) invites applications for a full-time faculty position as Director of the Predoctoral Endodontics Program, assistant/associate professor rank, within the Division of Endodontics, Section of Cariology & Restorative Sciences. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. The expected starting date is July 1, 2016. The Search Committee at the College of Dental Medicine is particularly interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.ResponsibilitiesThe selected individual will have primary responsibilities as the Director of the Predoctoral Endodontics Program which will include preclinical and clinical education and training as well as clinical supervision of patient care. Expectations will include good working relations with students and faculty, participation in academic activities, and scholarly activities leading to future development and promotion. The possibility exists for the position to be either tenure-track or clinical track. There is an opportunity for participation in the CDM faculty practice.
Minimum Qualifications: Requirements include a professional dental degree and completion of an accredited postdoctoral program in Endodontics.
