Advertised Summary Job Description: The Department of Urology at Columbia University Medical Center is looking to hire a fulltime Nurse Practitioner to provide patient care in our Urologic Oncology Unit. Individual will also have privileges at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the assessment and management of patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, under a medical collaborative agreement.
S/he will complete patient's history and physical, review laboratory results and order appropriate tests, provide discharge instructions and patient education and monitor follow-up appointments.
S/he will review laboratory results and other clinical information pertinent to patient health, order appropriate tests and other ancillary services as needed, and develop care plans for patients
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires Bachelor's degree and masters degree in nursing, plus four years of experience, plus a current New York State NP and RN license and DEA.
