The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Learning Management Systems (LMS) Specialist.Come join our team and support our mission to promote excellence in clinical research! The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) is the primary resource for clinical research professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries, and those in hospital, academic medical centers and physician office settings. ACRP was founded in 1976 to address the distinct educational and networking needs of research nurses and others who supported the work of clinical investigations. With its own professional society came the recognition of a new distinctive profession—that of the clinical researcher. Now, 40 years later, ACRP is a global association comprised of the largest community dedicated to clinical research and development.The Senior Learning Management Systems (LMS) Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert for Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and will be responsible for all aspects of the LMS to include Strategy, LMS Systems Management, course management, client management and training.Responsibilities Include:-Serves as a strategist and subject matter expert on the management and deployment of the ACRP learning management system. -Performs high-level business process/systems analysis/requirements definition and participates in the development and execution of future system strategies.-Stays abreast of developments in the field of LMS technology and serves as an internal consultant on best practices, new solutions and emerging trends.-Manages the globalization of related systems and upgrade activities, and develops and maintains system integrations with other company systems.-Coordinates with vendor, clients and ACRP leadership staff to oversee enhancement efforts and system upgrades, including tracking system bugs, application issues, and managing the configuration and implementation of LMS upgrades and relevant improvements.-Responsible for direct oversight of the management of user migration, course uploads, alpha and beta testing, user management, portal and/or reporting customizations and related processes.-Performs regular LMS quality assurance checks to ensure proper system functionality, courseware deployment, testing/certifications, and data communication in the development environment and post-production environment. -Researches and resolves LMS functionality issues as they arise, both for ACRP LMS and sub-licenses.-Reviews and assists in the update and creation of requirements documents, test plans, report database interface, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals.-Collaborates with LMS and content providers to research and resolve issues related to the LMS that are reported by the end user, vendors, license users and/or administration issues related to the LMS.-Revises or defines new system capabilities and modules to enable virtual classroom processes.-Performs all duties required for e-learning content launch, including course upload, testing, and assignment, and provides support for internal and third-party course content.-Develops, manages and enforces LMS content publication and data governance standards including, but not limited to, course nomenclature (character limits), process adherence, user permissions and role designation, versioning and archiving.-Coordinates with supervisor and content vendors to craft and implement process for new course uploads and/or updates to existing learning programs for both ACRP LMS and sub-licenses, and enables assessments and feedback surveys.-Publishes courses developed in Articulate 13, Articulate Storyline2, HTML and Flash to the ACRP LMS and the site licensee LMS.-Manages offsite LMS users (site licenses) and sets up license accounts, manages rollout of the system to each client, maintains updated course catalogs and acts as ongoing support.-Provides training and support to all levels of LMS users, including sub-licensees and maintains training and support materials.Collaborates with peers and ACRP community to determine, recommend and facilitate best practices. Manages LMS system communications (emails, pop-ups, alerts, releases) promoting a quality user experience focus.-Creates, write and compile reports utilizing various report writing tools and technologies.
Education and Experience-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, plus experience in a business systems environment and an understanding of both the technology of information systems and virtual learning environments. -Experience successfully implementing and managing an LMS.-PMP certification and/or knowledge of Six Sigma process improvement methodologies are a definite plus.-Experience with eLearning software, learning technologies and multi-media tools: Articulate 13, articulate Storyline 2, HTML, AICC, SCORM, Tin Can API or other eLearning development tools and course packaging technologies preferred. Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:-5-7 years of process and systems experience, including project management, enterprise resource planning and online learning environments with expertise in systems and process modeling, design, metrics development and statistics.-Ability to identify issues, and recommend and implement improvements/solutions.-Effective oral and written communication skills, including ability to outline problems and solutions to senior management team members.-Ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse projects simultaneously.-Knowledge and experience with the Web Coursework’s LMS platform a plus.-Knowledge of basic HTML coding skills a plus.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel.-Ability to analyze complex, organizational problems and exercise independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for problem -solving.-Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized.-Ability to maintain a professional attitude and work independently with little guidance in a fast-paced, changing environment.NOTES:Telecommuting is allowed.
