The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry, Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic is currently seeking clinician-educators. Psychiatrist: Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic of UPMC currently employs more than 150 psychiatrists and manages more than 400 psychiatric beds across the network. We have more than 390,000 outpatient visits a year and over $80 million in research funding. A leader in the treatment of mental health and addictive disorders, UPMC is consistently ranked amount the nation's top hospitals for psychiatry by U.S. News & World Report. WPIC is looking for exceptional psychiatrists to join our world class organization. We currently have inpatient and outpatient positions available at our main Pittsburgh campus as well as with our rural and community affiliates in Erie, Washington, Seneca (J-1 position) & Altoona (J-1 position). We are also hiring Telepsychiatrists nationwide. These positions qualify for part-time or full-time with or without faculty appointments at the appropriate rank, in the School of Medicine in the clinician-educator track. We are looking for psychiatrists who specialize in General Adult, Child & Adolescent, Addictions, Psychosomatic Medicine, Eating Disorders, & Integrated Clinics. Many of our sites are teaching clinics and offer multiple opportunities for training residents, medical students, and other trainees. University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine faculty appointment commensurate with experience.
