The Brian Tumor Program at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is seeking neuro-oncology research faculty with a basic/translational research interest for two tenure-track positions, one at the Associate or Full Professor level and one at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates should have a PhD and/or MD degree and be actively engaged in an established laboratory research program, and have a strong publication record, having attained recognition in brain tumor molecular oncology, cellular biology, neuroimmunology, new agent clinical studies, or a related field at the national level, and have experience in directing students, postdoctoral fellows, and/or residents in research. A focus or strong interest in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology research is encouraged, and the ideal candidates will have demonstrated success in obtaining extramural funding, particularly for the Associate Professor level position. For the Assistant Professor level position, consideration will also be given to scientists who have recently completed post-doctoral training in translational neuro-oncology research, and demonstrate strong potential for development into independent investigators. A generous start-up and support package will be provided commensurate with experience. The Program incorporates a highly collaborative research environment with NIH funding for basic, translational and clinical research studies, and functions within the context of a vibrant NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and university academic environment in the newly constructed Rangos Research Center.
