The Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine seek an outstanding candidate for a full-time faculty member with research, clinical service, and teaching responsibilities in pediatric pathology.
The candidate must hold a MD or MD/PhD degree, be eligible for an unrestricted California Medical License, and be Board Certified (or board eligible at time of appointment) in AP or AP/CP. Board certification in Pediatric Pathology preferred. The successful candidate will participate and help develop collaborative research programs, as well as teach medical students, residents and fellows. This position is at the Assistant Professor level; salary will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and training.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine currently comprises 20 full-time faculty and over 200 hospital staff. The Clinical Laboratory performs over 1.2 million laboratory assays annually. The department supports active programs in bone marrow and organ transplantation, cardiothoracic services, hematology, neonatology, oncology, and critical care areas. Postgraduate programs include an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Pathology.
