USC's Dana and David Dornsife School of Letters, Arts and Sciences The Department of Molecular Biology is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join its team.
Independently and in consultation with supervisor, plan, design and conduct highly technical and complex research in the field of neuroscience, including molecular biology, cellular biology and biochemistry.
*Identify, research, compile and evaluate data sources, background information and/or technology related to the area of specialization.
*Analyze and evaluate research data utilizing computers and provide interpretation of the data based on significant knowledge of this specialized area of research.
*Search literature, utilizing all available resources including electronic, regarding new methodology and design experiments.
*Contribute to the development of research documentation for publication and/or prepare technical reports, papers and/or records.
*Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory/scientific equipment.

Minimum Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctorate
Minimum Experience: 1 year directly related education and experience in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures and analysis methods
