Essential Functions: Design and conduct experiments in understanding HSV-1-host dynamic interaction.Write a research paper for publication.Assist PI in proposal writing and submission.Present research projects at local, national and international conferences.Teach and direct undergraduates in their directed studies.Manage and maintain laboratory databases for cell lines, viruses, plasmids and reagents.
Qualifications: Recent PhD graduate (less than two years since PhD degree).Experience with molecular biology (skills include but not limited to: DNA and RNA extraction and manipulation, protein expression and purification, protein-DNA/RNA interaction, and protein-protein interaction, microscopic analysis).Experience in cell culture and virus manipulation.
