Job Description Summary:
To serve as instructor for daytime and/or evening classes delivered under the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) Program or other classes as needed/qualified.
Essential Duties :
Teaches courses as scheduled.
Maintains knowledge of, and exhibits, current methodology of instruction.
Manage classroom activities by enforcing standards, rules and regulations
Grade, administer and facilitate quizzes, exams, hands-on assessments or other tools used to evaluate student progress.
Provide feedback to the Director on course progress, suggested improvements, or problems that may impact program quality or stability
Performs other related tasks as assigned
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in the technical knowledge and skills as included in the class textbooks and in the HVACR industry.
Must be a certified technician or HVACR contractor with at least two years experience in the field.
Knowledge and experience in adult learning methodologies and instructional technologies
Demonstrate proficiency in English; Written and verbal skills
Must be high school graduate or have G.E.D.
Prefer at least two years post-secondary education
or three years on-the-job experience as a certified technician or HVACR contractor.
Salary Range: $20-$30/hr DOQ
