Full Time General Surgeon Position
The VA Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS), in Fresno, California invites applications for the position of General Surgeon. VACCHCS provides a full range of patient care services, as well as education and research. Comprehensive health care is provided through primary, secondary, and long-term care in the areas of primary care, specialty medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics, and extended care. VACCHCS is affiliated with the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program and provides a rich academic environment including postgraduate medical education training for residents and fellows in specialties and sub-specialties.
The Surgical Services at VACCHCS has an immediate opening for a board-certified General Surgeon . The candidate will provide a full range of General Surgical care, for Veterans at the VACCHCS main hospital in Fresno, California. Applicants must have completed a residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Preferred experience for this position is a candidate who is fellowship trained in one or more of the following areas, minimally invasive surgery, colorectal surgery, critical care and oncology. In addition, it is preferred that this candidate have teaching experience with research and publishing achievements.
Salary is dependent upon candidate’s prior experience and qualifications. Direct patient care positions are subject to random drug testing procedures. Candidates must have or be eligible to obtain a valid California medical license.
