The Center for Fetal and Neonatal Medicine and the USC Division of Neonatal Medicine of the Department of Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and USC are seeking candidates for 2-3 full-time, non-tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant and/or Associate Professor level on the clinical-educator track. These positions are clinically focused and in addition to contributing to pediatric resident and neonatal-perinatal fellow education, the successful candidates will provide clinical service in the 58-bed, level IV state-of-the-art Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and in the 15-bed, level 3 NICU at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center is the site of the Center for Fetal and Neonatal Medicine's CHLA-USC Institute of Maternal-Fetal Health and the hospital has over 4000 deliveries annually.
The Center for Fetal and Neonatal Medicine consists of the USC Division of Neonatal Medicine and the CHLA-USC Institute of Maternal-Fetal Health. The USC Division of Neonatal Medicine has two major sections (the CHLA and USC Sections). The USC section operates at 2 sites and the CHLA section operates at three clinical sites.The Division has 26 faculty and 18 fellows at present and will expend to a total of 31 faculty members. The CHLA-USC Institute of Maternal-Fetal Health is one of the largest fetal diagnosis and fetal intervention centers in the nation.
Must hold MD or DO degree
Board certified in Pediatrics
Board certified/eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Clinical experience in clinical neonatology
Strength in teaching
Experience in patient-oriented or basic research
Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a complex, high-intensity academic environment
