The Administrative Assistant in the Development office supports the travel and programmatic work of the Director of Major Gifts and project support for the department of Stewardship enabling them to solicit and report on gifts from alumni, parents, and other friends that contribute to the financial goals of the College. This position will also provide support to other external relations departments as need. The position requires a high level of accuracy, exceptional customer service to internal and external audiences, ability to produce work under tight deadlines, and strict adherence to confidentiality.
The Administrative Assistant will support staff travel including securing appointments, coordinating travel arrangements, creating and distributing pre-trip memos and itineraries, and responding to last minute itinerary changes. The position will also provide general office support involving drafting routine correspondence, responding to phone inquiries, and maintain departmental calendars.
This is a temporary, non-exempt, 36 hours per week (.90 FTE), benefit eligible position through December 31, 2021.

The successful candidate has up to three years of related office experience in a fast-paced environment. They must also have a strong customer service mindset and the ability to communicate diplomatically and accurately to internal and external constituents with integrity, trust, and confidentiality.
Preferred qualities include some post-secondary education and experience working in higher education.
