Kents Hill School seeks applicants for a full time Music Teacher for the 2018-2019 academic year. The position includes conducting Jazz and Concert Band ensembles, Chorus and teaching music theory and studio recording; candidates must be prepared to teach a range of levels from introductory to advanced. We especially seek candidates with expertise teaching electives focusing on fostering connections between music and broader cultural contexts. A bachelor’s degree in the content area is required. Relevant teaching experience is preferred but other experience and qualifications will be considered. Additionally, piano accompaniment skills and the ability to play other musical instruments are preferred. Kents Hill School seeks dynamic candidates who will be active participants in the academic, athletic and residential programs.
