Bryn Mawr College is accepting applications for a Web Applications Administrator & Developer.

This position works in the Web Services group within the Library & Information Technology Services (LITS) division at Bryn Mawr College. In collaboration with colleagues in Web Services, including a senior web developer, this position supports the development and maintenance of interactive web sites and applications in support of the College's main web presence and overall educational mission; performs application administration and programming tasks related to PHP-based content management systems, including Drupal and WordPress; manages and/or co-manages third-party services used in support of the office’s functions; provides related technical support to the campus web-steward community; stays abreast of latest developments in website accessibility guidelines and performs regular tests to ensure compliance; works to project timelines to ensure that critical deadlines are met.
Performs Drupal site-builder application administration for the campus web site.
Develops Drupal modules in support of specific project goals.
Conducts automated testing and continuous integration tasks.
Performs regular audit of campus web site, and third-party resources where applicable, to ensure accessibility guidelines are met.
Co-manages source code repository in version control software such as Git.
Co-administrator of the campus WordPress multi-site installation.
Provides technical support to campus community using the LITS ticketing system; supports Drupal as well as related third-party services, for example to develop online payment forms.
Creates and maintains associated technical documentation.
Participates in, and at times leads, projects; works with colleagues to collaboratively define technical specifications and project scope.
Keeps abreast of emerging web trends; maintains a professional connection with the Drupal community.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or directed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in related field and two to three years of professional experience managing web applications or any combination of education and experience which provides the necessary skills, abilities and knowledge.
Demonstrable web applications administration experience.
Previous software development experience.
Solid understanding of HTML/CSS.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work well with a diverse user population and effectively collaborate with colleagues within LITS and across campus.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with version control software such as Git in a team environment.
Previous experience developing automated testing and continuous integration work flows for Drupal using software such as Behat and Jenkins, respectfully.
Experience with Twig PHP templating engine.
Experience with Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP (LAMP) systems administration.
