This position provides executive level administrative support to the Executive Director of Confucius Institute and Office of China Initiative. The Administrative Services Assistant will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Institutes programs and daily office operations; managing the flow of information from the Confucius Institute (CI) to the University on ongoing developments and programs; communicating the Executive Directors vision and image for the Institute; compiling and providing information to the Executive Director to support sound and effective decision making; drafting correspondence on issues relating to the Executive Director for other executive-level positions; and coordinating the drafting and development of CI strategic plan and annual reports.
Additional responsibilities will include office management, scheduling, preparing for events, travel and meetings, keeping meeting minutes, and maintaining files.
Outstanding verbal, written and electronic communication skills; exceptional organizational skills; discretion; leadership; judgment; planning; and management. Well rounded working knowledge of UK Administrative, Governing and Business Regulations.
