Reporting to the Hokie Stone Manager, the Stone Mason Lead will oversee a crew in the performance of installation, repair and maintenance activities associated with Hokie Stone building envelops and site walls to maintain the structural integrity of those systems and components.
- Verifiable journey-level experience laying dimensionally sawn stone and rubble stone in barrier and cavity wall construction configurations. - Experience supervising or leading a crew performing related work. - Must have a valid driver's license. - Must be able to perform heavy manual labor, including safely moving and handling greater than 100 pounds; climbing and working from elevated workstations such as ladders and scaffolds; working for long periods of time sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing/pulling; and working in all types of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures. - Ability to communicate effectively, work as an effective team member, and receive and execute instructions from the immediate supervisor. - This position is designated as
