The CT Technologist performs diagnostic C.T. procedures ordered by a physician to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Performs all diagnostic C.T. procedures per Radiologist protocol.
Provides for patient's physical and emotional needs in a wide variety of circumstances.
Transports patients as needed for all sections of the Radiology Department.
Provides all customers with information pertinent to their exams.
Documents all appropriate paperwork relative to pertinent examination.
Performs/documents QA and QC per section protocols.
Performs all duties necessary to ensure the harmonious operation of the C.T. section
Administers contrast media per established medication review protocols.
May perform moderate or waived point of care testing per CLIA guidelines.
Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a two-year degree in an approved Radiology program or work experience recommended by the approved licensing agency.
Licensure / Certifications: Registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must maintain and be in good standing with the accrediting body for the specialty registry within one year of employment. American Heart Association HS (Heart Saver) CPR Certification required. Some departments have additional advanced CPR requirements as listed on staff annual education record.
Experience: 1-2 years C.T. experience preferred.
