Compass Oncology is looking for a Manger, Licensed ClinicalSocial Worker to lead and support our Social Work Team to contribute to a more positive experience for our patients. As a Social Worker Manager at Compass Oncology you will support patients in many areas of their treatment process: From helping them and their families find the right resources, to counseling and supporting their psychological and emotional well-being. You will play a crucial role in fostering Whole Person care for our patients.

JOB SCOPE: Manages the day to day activities of social work at multiple sites of operation. Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, crisis assessment, intervention, treatment planning and psychotherapy for patients and their families. Utilizes Clinical Social Work Theory and Methods for the treatment and prevention of psychosocial dysfunction, disability or impairment, including emotional and mental disorders. The clinical social worker also serves as a resource person to the medical staff. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provides assessment, treatment planning, financial assistance, psychotherapy, crisis assessment and other necessary services to patients and their families. * Responsible for managing and mentoring site staff to ensure adequate coverage and quality care. Meets individually with staff to review case assignments, work flow and productivity. Addresses and resolves any road blocks and provides creative solutions to case problems or issues. Leads departmental meetings to collaborate and communicate as a team and to keep abreast of practice updates. * Develops departmental SOPs and Patient and Family Programs. Networks and investigates to find necessary community resources and programs to aid in patient care. Offers in-service education programs and functions as a resource to medical staff and the community. * Maintains good communication and collaborative relationships with community providers and other medical staff to ensure patients are receiving necessary care. * Maintains confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, finances and other issues applicable privacy regulations. * Directly manages Social Workers at multiple sites. Responsible for assessing skill and performance level of all Social Workers within sites of responsibility. Performs yearly evaluations of all Social Workers. Responsible for hiring, promotion, disciplinary actions and termination processes of Social Workers. * Assesses the need for implementation of additional community support groups that enhance the quality of care to patients and their families. * Actively participates in Quality Improvement Initiatives within the Practice. * Attends selected managerial meetings and collaborate with fellow managers to bring the Social Work Perspective to foster team based care. QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience and Education: * Master's degree in social work from an accredited university. * Minimum 7 years' experience as a licensed social worker, oncology experience preferred. * At least two (2) years project management or supervisory experience.
