Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center is looking for a skilled Human Resources Generalist to help us manage and leverage our employees to continue providing top notch care. This unique position will help support both the administrative and clinical employees at our clinics and central business office. With support from business partners at The US Oncology Network, you will help disseminate and enforce labor laws and regulation, take part in performance management, utilize the HRIS system (WorkDay) to perform LOAs, FMLA requests, and Change Management. You will also work closely with local leadership to promote the success of the clinic and its employees as we all work towards positive patient outcomes.

JOB SCOPE: Under general supervision, provides general Human Resources guidance to client group management and employees. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing consultation to client members on human resource management issues to include: staffing; employee relations; performance management; dispute resolution; compliance and integrity; sexual harassment; policy administration; and disseminating and providing guidance to client members on company policies and procedures in compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
Gathers information needed for investigations, identifies issues, and recommends resolutions. Identifies breaches of culture/ values that impact workplace.
Identifies barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with non-routine situations. May involve HR technical experts to troubleshoot and resolves issues. Determines and develops approach to solutions.
Assists management with writing effective and accurate job descriptions, requisition process and approval, eCOS, salary administration, etc.
Writes VP level job descriptions. Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and writes executive overview. Manages employee engagement survey, summarizes findings, and facilitates follow-up and action items. May perform work force analysis and recommendations on a variety of HR or payroll issues.
Consults with hiring manager on candidate selection and compensation package (including sign-on bonus, relocation, retention, etc). Performs reference checks. Extends verbal job offer to selected candidate. Coordinates the offer package preparation; obtains the appropriate approvals. Primary contact for the future employee.
Upon written acceptance and completed forms, initiates background investigations and license verification as required. Investigates and resolves background/employment related issues. Escalates issues that conflict with hiring practices.

Experience and Education:
BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
PHR or SPHR preferred
SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP highly preferred
Minimum of five (5) years Generalist experience.
Solid knowledge of HR federal and state laws.
