The selected applicant for this full-time, tenure-track, faculty position will develop and teach engineering technology courses and associated laboratories in our ETAC of ABET accredited Associate and Bachelor Degree EET program commencing with the Fall 2018 semester. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the area of microcontroller applications to electromechanical and mechatronic systems, but may also be required to teach courses in electrical circuits, analog and digital electronic devices, and instrumentation and process control systems. Basic functions of this position also include EET student advisement and recruitment, professional scholarship and service activities, course and program assessments for ongoing ETAC-ABET accreditation, building relationships with industry, and other educational institutions. Typical teaching load is 3 courses per semester including associated laboratories which are offered evenings and weekends.
The School of Engineering Technology is comprised of 4 programs (Electrical Utilities Technology, Civil and Construction Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, and Mechanical Engineering Technology) which award degrees ranging from Associate in Technical Studies to Bachelor of Science in Applied Science. The faculty in each of the programs have developed strong ties with industry professionals to assist in continuous curriculum improvement and employment opportunities for our graduates. Average class size ranges from 20-25 students which allows for increased student-faculty interaction.

Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering, from an ABET accredited program.
Minimum of 3 years of verifiable US industrial/manufacturing experience in application of microcontrollers and programmable logic devices to industrial/manufacturing processes.
Proficient in operation of various electrical test equipment and instrumentation used in electrical engineering laboratories. Experience with C, Matlab, Labview, or microcontroller programming software.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Professional Engineering (PE) in Electrical or Control Systems
Ph.D. in electrical or electrical engineering technology.
College level teaching experience
An understanding, vision, and enthusiasm for teaching, service, and scholarly activities appropriate to an undergraduate Engineering Technology environment.
