Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) The Director, Stars HEDIS Operations will serve as the leader for all M&R HEDIS-related activities throughout the year, including coordination with other parts of the organization for the year-end CMS submissionOverall Strategic direction and recommendations for HEDIS strategy, data collection, improvement and compliance to assure improved HEDIS scores to meet the business goals of M&R business This includes reporting and improvement of HEDIS and HEDIS-like state specific measures This includes: identification and development of operational quality improvements, strategic planning Direct management oversight for business process initiatives that support compliance, data collection, customer focus, external advocacy, optimizing quality and efficiency in support of organization objectives Coordinate all elements of the quality initiatives including cross functional coordination and cooperation to ensure timely and effective decision making on key issues Develop organizational structure and resource allocation between geographical locations to assure the most efficient and successful operational results Builds and maintains alliances with customers, business partners, consultants, vendors, providers to meet / exceed business objectives Develops and maintains superior communication strategies Directs resources in the most efficient manner to meet organizational objectives Plays leadership role in various aspects of key assignments
Required Qualifications:10+ years experience in leading significant and diverse operations in the healthcare services industry7+ years experience and knowledge of HEDIS quality process, audit readiness, chase operations, data submission to CMS and MRRV10+ years of significant leadership and managerial experience10+ years experience, with demonstrated functional knowledge, process improvement initiatives, and organizational behaviorComprehensive understanding of functional areas and the impact in performance and performance measurement of qualityExcellent written and oral communication skills with internal and external business partners and employeesPreferred QualificationsUndergraduate degree or equivalent experienceCertified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certificationExpert knowledge of the managed care/health insurance industry, products and servicesCareers at UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement.The Boomer generation is the fastest growing market segment in health care.
