In this IT Technology Delivery Lead role, you will be responsible for the solution design and implementation of Optum's existing technology capabilities in the Government space, including the components required to support custom client solutions and integration of diverse business architectures and applications.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary responsibilities: Collaborate with Business Development stakeholders to understand/influence overall Client business requirementsLead complex JAD sessions with developers and engineers, building consensus, and creating action plans, estimations, define timeline and work assignments for the teamProvide integrated systems analysis and recommend appropriate hardware, software, and data interfaces required to support technology implementation goals and strategy Define detailed application designs in alignment with the Client Technical Solution and deliver required application architecture artifactsDemonstrate understanding of cross-functional/cross-domain requirements and impact to each product/module comprising the overall solutionDemonstrate experience and understanding of Client technology ecosystems and various integration mechanismsEnsure alignment of Optum Solutions to Clients' Business and IT goals/objectives Communicate solution options to Optum Business Account owners/stakeholders (e.g. architecture reviews) and document solutions in RFP responses Incorporate software and system architecture (e.g. infrastructure, network) into conceptual designs Maintain awareness of current technology assets and capabilities Understand and adhere to Optum's architecture Governance frameworkTranslate IT terminology into common business language to ensure understanding by all stakeholdersTranslate and align identified Client business needs and priorities into appropriate IT solutions/strategiesDemonstrate understanding of IT methodologies and processes (e.g., SDLC, Agile)Lead/participate in gap analyses aimed at meeting clients' RFP/RFI requirements
Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience7+ years of experience in IT Solution Delivery and architecture 8+ years of full lifecycle application development experience Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration Strong written and verbal presentation skills; ability to distill complex technology solutions into presentations to clients, stakeholders, leadership Experience creating complex solutions in support of large Government / Enterprise systems using healthcare interoperability standards: HIPAA EDI X12 or related standardsExperience integrating healthcare eligibility, provider, member, claims and clinical systems Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Government contracting roles Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems, languages and computing platformsStrong influencing and consultative skills3+ years of experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) and/or Integrated Eligibility (IE) technology implementations and/or M&O Technology Careers with Optum.
