The Brown University Division of Advancement seeks qualified applicants for the position of Associate Director, Gift Compliance.
This role will manage all Gift Agreement Administration initiatives in consultation with the Director of Stewardship, Senior Director of Donor Relations and Engagement and the Vice President of Advancement Services and Development Support. This includes the management of the gift agreement workflow, writing and distribution of all gift agreements, tracking the approval process to ensure timely delivery and reconciling with gift accounting to ensure accuracy for campaign reporting and honoring donor intent.
Serves as a liaison among Advancement staff and University partners to produce and support the development of gift agreements, and also serves as the point person for all questions related to endowments.
Bachelorâ™s degree and and 4-7 years of development or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent organization and management skills required.
Strong attention to detail, including with regard to donor and program names, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Must have thorough knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, and punctuation.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
Proficient knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must be comfortable learning and using new technologies.
Ensure a culture where effective teamwork, collaboration, and innovation are expected, recognized, and rewarded.
A strong mastery of Microsoft Office and Constituent Relationship Management software is essential.
Ability to work independently and to manage highly complex processes for a high-quality end product.
Ability to problem solve, to communicate effectively and professionally, to work well under deadlines, and to collaborate in a team environment.
Excellent written and oral communications, including ability to copy-edit and proofread.
Ability to learn new database systems.
