DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY PENOBSCOT VALLEY HOSPITAL LINCOLN, ME
Hours: The Pharmacy is open Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm. Evenings and Weekends have remote order entry coverage.
As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Director of Pharmacy at Penobscot Valley Hospital you will oversee all pharmacy operations at including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. Director of Pharmacy is responsible for the continued growth, development, and implementation operational systems that support safe delivery of pharmaceutical care. This Staffing Director of Pharmacy will also be involved and chair the P&T Committee, antibiotic stewardship committee, participate on the pain team, MDT, quality improvement projects, round and provide education.
Facility: Situated 45 minutes north of Bangor and 45 minutes south of Baxter State Park. Penobscot Valley hospital is located in Lincoln Maine also known as the 13 Lakes Region known for crystal clear lakes, mountains and streams. Penobscot Valley Hospital is an award-winning 25-bed critical access facility that has served the community for more than 30 years. The Pharmacy will provide support to a busy emergency department, outpatient surgical suite, ICU, MS, IV infusion center and swing bed rehabilitation unit.
Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
Current Maine pharmacist license in good standing
3 years Pharmacist experience in a hospital setting
Good communications skills
Demonstrated customer service skills
Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
