Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supv, Front Desk.
In this role, the successful candidate The Front Desk supervisor is responsible for the work flow associated with processing patients: greeting patients, registration, cash collection, scheduling of appointments via telephone and in person, verification of insurance, managing patient complaints and all other functions associated with the front desk. The Front Desk supervisor provides direct supervision of the front desk PSA staff and actively participates in work associated with the job function of the front desk (PSA) staff.
Compliance with hospital, health center and department policies and procedures.
Ordering of Metro Cards and quarters for network cashiering and distribution. Monthly reports and reconciliation of Metro Cards and Quarters to Grants Fiscal.
Maintains logs and verifies all monies upon receipt. Prepares deposits for cashier and posts to summary sheet
Consults with Billing Director to share information and or obtain guidance regarding hospital policies and procedures
Monitors and supervises the daily operation of the cashier, including schedules, staffing and staff performance
Performs administrative support duties including (but not limited to) meeting and greeting patients, telephone communications with patients and 3rd party insurance companies
Assists in hiring and training of Front Desk Staff
Monitors and records all visits and forwards encounters to billing department
Answers verbal and written requests in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and departmental procedures; responds to requests for patient financial information; investigates concerns/issues raised by patients regarding front desk operations
Responsible for cash handling and maintenance of accurate records
Creates and enforces front desk schedule to ensure adequate coverage during all hours of operation
Coordinates and verifies insurance benefits and eligibility, pre-authorizations, patient registrations
Provides direct supervision to front desk staff
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Associates degree or 3-5 years customer service experience 2+ YEARS
