In this IT Architect role, you will be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the organization's technology architecture. Primary Responsibilities: Collaborate with the business to understand/influence business requirements Demonstrate understanding of cross - functional / cross - domain requirements and impact Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies / products / trends related to architectural solutions Ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals / objectives Identify and quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems Facilitate / lead / participate in identification of solution options and features Communicate solution options to business owners / stakeholders (e.g. architecture reviews) Incorporate software and system architecture (e.g. infrastructure, network) into conceptual designs Ensure alignment with enterprise technology standards (e.g. solution patterns, application frameworks, technology roadmaps, capital plans) Identify gaps between established standards and proposed solutions, and follow the exception/waiver process as needed Maintain awareness of current technology assets and the capability of each Understand and adhere to architecture Governance framework Deliver all project deliverables on scope, on time and on budget Conduct customer discovery sessions via deployed Optum discovery toolkit Provide Subject Matter Expert oversight of implementation methodologies to delivery teams Participate in customer facing role developing technology strategies based upon discovery of customer environment Travel to support customer requirements
Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 8+ years of experience in IT Solution Delivery and architecture Internet as a Service Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) Firewall and Intrusion Prevention Network Data Loss Prevention Web HTTP Data Loss Prevention Deep Packet Inspection Security Incident and Event Management Malware Prevention End-to-End Traffic Visibility Third Party VPN Tunnels (B2B) Virtual Vulnerability Scanning Virtual Web Content Filtering Virtual Proxy Virtual Web Data Loss Prevention Outbound Web Decryption8+ years of security and network infrastructure experience Deep understanding of industry patterns for security architecture and integration Agile development experience Ability to travel internationally up to 10% Preferred Qualifications: CCIE Healthcare industry experience Team leadership or team management experience Experience prototyping and performance tuning across multiple operating systems, languages and computing platforms Optum is a diversified health services and innovation company where data, technology, people and action combine to make great things happen every day.
