Assist and manage the intake, tracking and process for the hiring appointments, promotions and terminations of Departmental professional and affiliated (non-employee) professional staff involving multiple institutions.
Independently generate correspondence, internal documentation, and related materials for appointments and promotions for MSK, Cornell and Affiliates.
Serve as a liaison between Human Resources and the Department of Pediatrics with regards to new employee benefits and respond and assist with questions about processes and practices.
Assist and manage the process of on-boarding for new and existing employees; orienting them to institution wide policies and procedures, coordinating the procurement of the technological tools required for their position and overseeing institution and facility access.
Produce and revise professional staff orientation materials and departmental wide policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Edit, write, and coordinate highly technical documents oftentimes under tight deadlines to support the Chairman's office and Administrator for the Department of Pediatrics.
Assist with requesting, securing, preparing, coordinating, organizing, tracking, and compiling information from multiple sources, as needed.
Assist in the accurate preparation of complex documents and applications and assist with the coordination and organization of timely submissions including various projects.
Exercise independent judgment and discretion in managing and monitoring confidential matters including the Department's and Chairman's academic administration records.
Monitor and facilitate credentialing of professional staff in the Department of Pediatrics; including tracking of licenses/certifications.
A planner who is extremely organized and possesses a strong attention to detail.
An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.
Highly articulate and professional - verbal and written communications skills for executive level communications.
Action-oriented and eager to accept new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm with proven success at making timely decisions.
A professional who possesses the ability to work well with people of many different backgrounds and temperament.
Committed, hard-working, and a selfless team-player.
2 years of experience in executive level administration; and/or leading projects/teams; experience working on tasks individually and in teams.
Excellent Microsoft Office software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Superior communication & interpersonal skills.
Experience in a hospital or academic university.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
