Position Summary Position Summary At Stony Brook Medicine, an IT Staff Training Coordinator is a valuable member of our Information Technology team, who will serve as the coordinator of training for all IT staff members. The incumbent will work collaboratively with the resource managers in the development of appropriate and/or required training . The IT Staff Training Coordinator will be dedicated and responsible for the coordination of all details involved in support of IT Staff Training including: working with resource managers across the IT Division to identify and schedule classes. Duties may include the following but are not limited to: Scheduling, tracking enrollments and certifications for classes Developing yearly training budgets and tracking against the final budget Contributing to overall yearly Budgeting Process Processing requisitions/POs through the appropriate purchasing department Processing and tracking invoices through the appropriate departments Creating and maintaining accounting spreadsheets for possible departmental charge backs Coordinate class schedules, identify classroom space, and catering when necessary Qualifications: Required Qualifications : Minimum four (3) years of experience in training coordination and delivery preferably for IT Staff in a Healthcare setting. Bachelor Degree in computer science, Health Information Systems or related field will ensure that the incumbent has the conceptual skills required for this role. The ability to work with diverse populations is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Preferred Qualifications : Experience with Experience developing yearly budgets Experience scheduling and tracking classes Experience developing training programs for staff Qualifications: Stony Brook Medicine is a smoke free environment.
