The Patient Financial Services (PFS) Business Program Manager is responsible for the overall strategic operational planning, oversight, and direction of Florida Hospitals' Patient Financial Services Department. The PFS Business Program Manager functions as a key member of Revenue Cycle leadership to support and execute critical initiatives and is responsible for positioning PFS resources and processes to respond to evolving departmental goals and changes. This position is accountable for supporting, measuring, and achieving institutional goals and targets through effective and efficient management of various processes and key performance indicators. In addition to supporting Florida Hospital goals and initiatives, this individual is also responsible for producing and analyzing requested reports, identifying areas for improvement, and maintaining relationships with external vendors and payers. In addition to reporting to the PFS Director, the Business Program Manager is also responsible for working with the PFS leadership team. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Proficient in managing, creating, and maintaining financial reports for process improvement.
Must possess extensive analytical skills necessary to review key performance indicators, revenue cycle metrics, and to prepare analytical forecasts, assist with month-end accounting activities, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Management, or a related field
Master's Degree in in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Management, or a related field (Preferred)
One (1) year of supervisory experience in finance or accounting, or business-related field (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

Assists Revenue Cycle Leadership team with various projects, operational project launches, and maintenance of a variety of fiscal / financial performance reports for follow up. Maintains awareness of project status and anticipates potential roadblocks that may affect project completion and communicates issues with the manager. Meets time deadlines for established goals in an accurate and efficient manner.
Monitors, prepares, analyzes and compiles key statistical reports produced on third party vendor relationships for ongoing continued process improvement in managing placements, recoveries, collection fees and seeking internal process improvement. Ensuring compliance between vendor relationship, knowledge of contractual terms, and performance protocols. Assist in identifying key trends, opportunities and effectively communicate such trends and performance opportunities to the Sr. Director.
Helps develop and implement goals, special projects, and initiatives to increase productivity, improve processes, and advance the overall performance of the Patient Financial Services team
Focuses on process improvement strategies with special focus on financial outcomes in support of department and process initiatives. Works on multiple projects, as required, and balances priorities by taking ownership and planning tasks related to projects under direction of leadership. Effectively communicates and presents to management internally and externally both orally and written as well as document work performed. Maintains communication between contracted agencies (business vendors/partners) to assist in meeting or exceeding department key performance indicators.
Coordinates meetings in terms of location, attendees, equipment and supplies. Prepares meeting committee agendas and recording meeting minutes, and distributing in a timely manner.
Maintains, analyzes and compiles key financial reports, produced on a continual basis ensuring effective control points are present. Communicates with key Management staff status charges regarding reports to ensure key metrics are being addressed. Responsible to prepare, maintain and analyze monthly fiscal reports in support of the financial policies and performance indicators of respected areas. Assist in identifying key trends, opportunities and effectively communicate such trends and performance opportunities with the management team.
Formulates policies and procedures for the department and secures appropriate approvals; develops and administers procedures necessary to implement approved policies, and provides the overall direction necessary to ensure efficient, effective, and compliant PFS processes, including communication of approved policies
Adheres to HIPAA regulations by verifying pertinent information to determine caller authorization level receiving information on account.
