Data Analyst I – Clinical Transformation – Orlando
Florida Hospital Orlando seeks to hire Data Analyst I who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,107-bed Florida Hospital Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. Florida Hospital Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. 8:00am – 5:00pm / Monday – Friday
Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Transformation the SCAMP Data Analyst I will facilitate the SCAMP development, re-design process, data collection and analysis and is responsible for the day to day implementation of SCAMPs to promote high priority quality, process and safety initiatives throughout the institution. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor message to individuals and audiences throughout the institution.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to focus detailed concentrated effort to multiple SCAMP projects and re-establish priorities as necessary. Ability to effectively respond to time sensitive issues and meet deadlines.
Initiative and ability to work independently while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork for maximal efficiency and effectiveness. Attention to detail that ensures follow through on all initiatives implemented, and all projects undertaken.
Advanced knowledge of desktop applications, including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access) and manual and web-based applications for collecting/ reporting data.
Basic knowledge of project management applications (MS Project).
Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
Awareness of Performance Improvement techniques.
Understanding of health information, diagnostic coding and database management.
Ability to lead quality improvement and/or process improvement activities.
Ability to lead and conduct basic secondary research (e.g., literature reviews) and advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare, Nursing or Allied Health-related field, OR Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Allied Health-related field AND a minimum of three years of health care experience in a role.
Two years of experience in a Health Care environment.
One to two years of healthcare project management experience. (Preferred)
One to two years of data analytics experience. (Preferred)
One to two years in process improvement, quality improvement methodology/toolset. (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

Works with Director of Clinical Transformation to collaborate with IRCDA partners to cultivate the SCAMP program by working with SCAMP Teams to design and define the clinical workflow process and data collection functions for the implementation of SCAMPs.
Coordination of SCAMP specific meetings between FH and IRCDA and/or other collaborative network sites.
Works with FH SCAMP Development teams and IRCDA to develop main SCAMP components, assists with report creation and analysis utilizing templates provided by IRCDA. During SCAMP redesign, makes changes to the SCAMP documents as necessary based on discussions.
Performs data entry, in to a proprietary database, of all data collected for assigned SCAMPs.
Monitors and maintains accuracy and completeness of data in database. Proofreads and corrects database information as necessary. Assigns and enters diagnostic and procedure codes.
Under the direction of the Data Analyst II, works with Management Information System to design and conduct electronic medical record (EMR) database searches, providing patient lists for SCAMPs enrollment purposes.
Works with IRCDA to maintain data dictionary for each SCAMP.
