Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.
The Research Data Associate (RA) works collaboratively with study leadership on medication and behavioral clinical research projects at Bellevue Hospital Center. The Research Data Associate (RA) supports protocol implementation, performs participant recruitment and retention, and conducts study visits and data collection.
Participant Recruitment: Recruits and screens candidates for eligibility, completing necessary questionnaires, assessments and data entry. Maintains patient confidentiality.
Research Visits: Conducts screening, assessments, and referral to treatment as appropriate. Conducts participant study visits, including scheduling, coordination with other study team members, and documentation. Performs medical record review and data abstraction.
Participant Tracking: Tracks participant flow through the study and updates tracking logs in an accurate and timely manner. Contacts participants to schedule them for study visits and sends retention letters as needed.
Study Intervention: Conducts study intervention activities according to protocol and under supervision of the PI.
Data Collection & Integrity: Reviews entered data, resolves data queries, and obtains missing information. Documents all data accurately and according to protocol.
Documentation: Maintains study files in accordance with federal regulations. Assures that subject and data confidentiality and integrity are maintained.
Site Relationship: Establishes and maintains positive relationships with site staff and participants. Demonstrates effective and professional communication.
Problem Resolution: Identifies and communicates potential and actual problems in study operations and participant activities to study leadership.
Protocol Compliance: Ensures that study activities are carried out in accordance with protocol, including but not limited to participant recruitment & screening, participant research visits, follow-up and required documentation.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Associates degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate, proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Effective interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written) Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management; must work and communicate effectively with internal and external parties Effective multi-tasker and problem solver; detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in clinical research, mental health, public health, or community outreach preferred. Interest in and experience with addictions and/or clinical research is a plus.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
