Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. It includes nine primary care sites, 33 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program. The network also includes 12 community medicine sites providing care to disenfranchised New Yorkers, comprehensive HIV services, chemical dependency programs, and a family support center that offers educational, vocational, and other social support programs. Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Spclst, Outreach.
In this role, the successful candidate Enrolls patients in Managed Care plans in person and via telephone at Dental School Health sites and at community events and school events. (Spanish required)
Works with patient throughout the enrollment process to ensure a smooth transition
Prepares statistical reports on enrollment and disenrollment
Provides weekly updates on enrollment
Attends community events school functions in a effort to promote registration into Dental School Health Program
Travels to School Health sites to meet with Administration regarding enrollment
Communicate with patients and managed care plans via telephone and in person
Works with patients to facilitate enrollment into plans
Works with Managed Care providers to enroll patients into plans
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a High School DiplomaBachelors preferred Background in Managed Care Strong knowledge in Excel Familiarity with Power Point Strong written and verbal communication skills Spanish Language required
