We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Support Specialist, Clinical Applications.
This position will provide IT support for Department and MCIT Ancillary teams, and will contribute to the mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care.
Communicate all necessary application changes, enhancements and procedures to all necessary department teams and follow proper change management process.
Ensure System changes, follow clinical workflow, change management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all documentation for all assigned applications and develop, plan and execute testing for supported applications.
Triage audio-visual and video conferencing issues to onsite desktop team and follow up. Assess the project scope, level of effort, technical requirements, vendor and IT involvement.
Work on helpdesk tickets, change requests, work orders, and new rollouts.
Provide advance troubleshooting support for applications as necessary. Assist with coordination of vendor activities including hardware and software installation.
Troubleshoot Radiation Oncology IT related issues including (but not limited to) Aria Application, Desktop, networking, storage, hardware, citrix and Triage the issues as needed to appropriate teams within MCIT.
Provide first level of Desktop and Application support for Radiation Oncology Department and Interface between the department and the various divisions of NYU MCIT.
Must have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field and at least 1 year of experience.
Strong technical skills including Windows, UNIX applications, networking, and PC troubleshooting is required.

Clinical application and Healthcare IT experience is preferred.
Clinical system workflow knowledge is highly preferred.
Knowledge of HL7 interface is highly preferred.
Knowledge of Database is highly preferred.
