This position provides outreach and advising for the School of Professional Studies (SPS) Pre-College and Summer Session programs to deliver accurate and detailed information to students, parents, instructors and other constituents inquiring about program related information. Responsibilities include advising on the status of applications and answering detailed questions about registration procedures, campus life, academic standards, and other program-related issues. The incumbent will also be responsible for efficient and effective workflow of inbound customer inquiries and outreach activities using various communication methods including email and phone
In addition, each Program Services Coordinator has responsibility for supporting specific programs and/or services and will also assist with supporting other SPS programs and services as needed.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Answer phones and respond to emails in a courteous and professional manner. Manage all inbound and outbound communications for Pre-College and Summer Session programs.
Provide coordination and support for other program services offered to Pre-College and Summer Session students.
Coordinate enrollment data and reporting for proactive student outreach efforts. Collaborate and provide direction to Program Services student workers.
Assist with improving student experience by way of tracking feedback and sending surveys to students and parents.
Some evening and weekend work may be required. May be asked to attend some or all of our summer check-in and orientation programs which occur typically seven Sundays per summer.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3-5 years sales or customer service experience preferably in an academic environment
Excellent oral communication proficiency; exceptional English language skills, bilingual a plus but not required
Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and the ability to move fluidly from one application to another
Experience working with Google Apps and CRM systems preferred
Ability to problem solve effectively
Strong ability to multitask and adaptable to change
Proficient in drafting professional, well written email communications.
High degree of patience and capacity to respond pleasantly and professionally, no matter the circumstances
